Programs Internship (college/university students)

This unpaid internship is intended to result in academic credits earned towards a degree through a partnership with the applicant's college or university. Applicants should speak with their academic advisor about the process for registering for an internship through their college or university. Internship hours are onsite but can be flexible enough to be worked in around a job or class schedule. Some nights and weekends may be required. Students may work anywhere between 8 and 32 hours per week for this internship.

Description: The intern will assist the Executive Director with program and event planning and implementation for the current and upcoming seasons. The primary objective of the internship is to complement the student's academic studies with professional work experience, and SLC Arts is committed to our interns' intellectual and cultural development. 

Successful applicants will be comfortable using computers for a wide range of tasks and writing for a public audience, communicate clearly in person and through email, and demonstrate consistently professional conduct in on-line interactions including utilizing social media etiquette. Basic spreadsheet experience required.

  • Create a planning document for holding a social party at your (or your parent’s) house. You choose the format.
  • Create a directory of all of the college professors you’ve had thus far to help potential incoming students get to know professors. You choose the format.
