Call for Mural Design Submissions for Potsdam Riverwalk
The Village of Potsdam and St. Lawrence County Arts Council (SLC Arts) are seeking proposals from artists to design a new mural that will celebrate creativity and community. The completed mural(s) will be installed on the retaining wall of the Sandstone Drive retaining wall with the dimensions of 9 feet tall and 15 feet wide on the Riverwalk currently being constructed off of Raymond Street and Garner Park.
Artists are invited to submit original design concepts that honor the Potsdam community focus of celebrating the diversity, creativity, and vibrancy of our community. Submissions in a wide range of styles and approaches are welcome, provided they reflect respect for the community and the values of inclusivity.
The Village of Potsdam will choose potentially 1-3 murals to be completed by the submitting artist in the spring of 2026.
